Card counting?

k well i'm 16 i've known basic strategy for blackjack since i was 14 and i've started card counting so i can be super awesome at it by the time i can actually play...but i have some questions...is 6 plus and do u have evidence i've been told it's nothing and yeah...and can you tell me what to count with certain amounts of decks...thanks...:)))
