What is that conflicker thing about?

It's making me weary. Should I not get on computer all day tomorrow? I have a laptop. Idk if I should say the brand...because I'm kind of weary once again. Lol, but uhm is it only if your putting credit card stuff on the computer? I don't have one or anything...I was just curious? I don't download stuff on my computer really. But how long is it going to be around. I have spam and virus protection and firewalls activated and have me checked recently. My computer does updates. So am I safe? What brands of computers or laptops are good for not getting this virus...?
