My pc has a blu ray player (intervideo win dvd/bd player) but when i connect it to my tv w/ HDMI no sound?

if the disc is dolby digital it plays sound no problem, but if its dts nothing. is there a different player software anyone recommends or perhaps a software patch i can download?
